CP Dongshal Assumes Duty as 33rd Taraba Police Commissioner.

A new Commissioner of Police has assumed duty at the Taraba State Police Command, with a pledge to strengthen security and enhance collaboration with communities across the state.

    Commissioner of Police, Morkwap S. Dongshal, officially took over as the 33rd Commissioner of Police in Taraba State, bringing with him over three decades of professional policing experience.

    In a press release issued on Thursday by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Victor Mshelizah, the command said CP Dongshal’s appointment forms part of the ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen security and improve operational effectiveness across the country.

    According to the statement, the new police chief is committed to effective law enforcement, protection of lives and property, and the promotion of community-oriented policing in Taraba State.

    Speaking shortly after assuming duty, CP Dongshal reaffirmed his determination to ensure the safety of residents, noting that the command under his leadership would prioritize intelligence-led policing and proactive crime prevention strategies.

    He also stressed the need for stronger collaboration with other security agencies as well as community stakeholders in order to sustain peace and stability in the state.

    The Commissioner further called on residents to cooperate with the police by providing timely and credible information that would assist security agencies in tackling crime and criminality.

    The command assured the public that under CP Dongshal’s leadership, efforts would be intensified to strengthen existing security frameworks while promoting professionalism, discipline and effective service delivery in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olutunji Rilwan Disu.

    It also appealed to the people of Taraba State to continue supporting the police as it works to maintain a safe and secure environment across the state.
