The Chairman of the Bureau, Bishop Innocent Rubiruka Solomon, disclosed this during the 7th Edition of the Wukari Marathon Walk, organised by Fruity Vibes Fitness as part of the Campaign for National Peace in Wukari Community.

Addressing participants at the event, Bishop Solomon said the Bureau remains committed to collaborating with individuals and organisations whose activities promote peaceful coexistence and community development.

According to him, Wukari has endured years of recurring crises and conflicts, making it imperative for all stakeholders to unite in rebuilding trust, fostering reconciliation, and sustaining the peace currently being enjoyed in the area.

“Wukari has gone through difficult times, but the focus now should be on recovery, restoration, and creating a future anchored on sustainable peace and prosperity,” he said.

The Chairman commended the Executive Chairman of Wukari Local Government Council, Mr Bala Usman, for personally participating in the event and for supporting initiatives that strengthen peace, unity, and social cohesion within the community.

He also paid tribute to the Aku Uka of Wukari and Chairman of the Taraba State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty Dr Shekarau Angyu Ishaku Ada Ali, describing him as a father figure, role model, and true ambassador of peace whose leadership continues to inspire harmony across the state.

Bishop Solomon further applauded the organisers of the marathon walk, Fruity Vibes Fitness, and other partners for using sports and fitness as platforms to promote national peace and community engagement.

He expressed optimism that sustained collaboration among government institutions, traditional authorities, community groups, and development partners would accelerate the recovery and development of Wukari.

The TSBPCM boss also prayed for continued peace, progress, and all-round development in Wukari and Taraba State under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas, noting that peace remains the foundation for meaningful growth and prosperity.
