APC Aspirant Vunobolki Declares for Adamawa Governorship, Unveils Development Agenda

A renowned World Bank consultant, Maurice Vunobolki, has formally declared his intention to contest the Adamawa State governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Vunobolki, one of the few aspirants from the Southern Senatorial Zone to publicly signal interest in the race, pledged to consolidate on the developmental strides of the incumbent governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The declaration, held at the Yobi Event Centre, attracted a large turnout of supporters drawn from across the state’s 678 polling units, underscoring his growing grassroots appeal.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Vunobolki outlined a comprehensive blueprint anchored on leveraging his extensive experience in the private sector and academia to drive transformative governance.
He emphasized the need to revolutionize critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and social services to improve the overall socio-economic well-being of citizens.
He further promised that, if elected, his administration would prioritize the expansion of rural road networks, boost agricultural productivity, and integrate existing skills acquisition centres to enhance youth empowerment and job creation.
The aspirant also highlighted plans to improve the capacity and welfare of state workers, while unveiling an ambitious initiative to develop a comprehensive solar power system aimed at ensuring affordable and sustainable electricity supply across all 21 local government areas of the state.
Vunobolki’s entry into the race is expected to reshape the political landscape in Adamawa, particularly within the APC, as the contest for the party’s ticket gathers momentum ahead of the governorship election.
