Sen.Bwacha Vows Merit, Justice, Security as Pillars for Taraba’s Future, Wins Tiv Community Support

In a meeting with representatives of the Tiv community from seven local government areas of Taraba State, the gubernatorial flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State,Senator Emmanuel Bwacha outlined a vision for the state anchored on justice, transparency, and the protection of public resources.

At the gathering which took at his residence in Mararaba on June 6, 2026, Sen.Bwacha emphasize that true leadership is a divine trust and that the next administration must be defined by merit, justice, and security.
Addressing his recent political alignment, Bwacha explained his move to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a strategic decision to avoid sabotage and focus on public welfare. “I left the APC when the governor was coming into the party. This is a matter of strategic wisdom so that the governor will not take undue advantage of privileges available at the centre,” he stated.
On internal PDP disputes, he dismissed factional disagreements as the work of self-serving politicians, asserting that the truth of party leadership is documented with INEC.
Bwacha stressed a zero-tolerance approach to corruption, pledging to redirect public resources toward infrastructure and development. “If you truly love your people, you will not steal from them, covet their properties, or compromise their security,” he said.
He highlighted youth as key drivers of prosperity and called for constructive engagement over political bitterness.
In their remarks,representatives of the Tiv community led by Hon. Terna Anzamber, commended Bwacha’s message, expressing concerns over neglect by the current administration in Tiv areas.
They called for a government based on meritocracy and security, emphasizing the need for safety to farm and lives without fear.
“If public employment and governance are conducted strictly on merit, our society will thrive. We are not asking for handouts,” a the delegation said.
The delegation pledged total mobilization for Bwacha, describing him as a steady hand to lead Taraba out of hardship.
In closing, Bwacha thanked the delegation for their condolence visit during a period of personal loss, praying for their safety and continued support.
The event underscores growing community backing for Bwacha’s agenda ahead of future political engagements.
