No fewer than 15 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resigned from the party.

The resignations were formally announced during Wednesday’s plenary session on February 23, 2025, when the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, read out the letters submitted by the affected lawmakers on the floor of the House.
The mass exit follows an earlier wave of resignations involving prominent members, including former Speaker Abubakar Abdullahi (Girei Constituency), Deputy Speaker Mohammed Buba Jidjiwa (Jada/Mbulo), Kefas Kalvin (Toungo), Haruna Jilantikiri (Madagali), Bulus Geoffrey (Leko/Koma), Kefas Emmanuel (Song), and Ahmed Jingi Bele (Maiha), among others.
