More than 200 vulnerable households in Mbula Chiefdom, Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, have benefited from a humanitarian intervention in education, healthcare and food support jointly backed by Labour Party governorship candidate, Senator Ishaku Abbo, and the party’s Adamawa Southern Senatorial candidate, Chief Peter Leonard Ndwacho Fwa, through the Pathfinder Humanity Forum.

    The intervention, described by residents as one of the most comprehensive humanitarian outreach programmes ever undertaken in the chiefdom, attracted widespread commendation, with beneficiaries offering prayers for the success of the two political leaders and the organisation behind the initiative.


    The traditional ruler of Mbula Chiefdom, His Majesty Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo, expressed delight over the intervention and announced the symbolic presentation of the prestigious Key to Mbula Chiefdom to Pathfinder Humanity Forum in recognition of its commitment to improving the welfare of the people.

    The Executive Chairman of Pathfinder Humanity Forum, a native of the area, said during a courtesy visit to the royal palace that the organisation remained committed to expanding its humanitarian programmes to alleviate hardship among vulnerable communities.

    As part of the intervention, the General Hospital in Borrong received assorted medical consumables, including cartons of syringes, essential drugs and bedsheets to strengthen maternal healthcare services.

    The organisation also distributed instructional and writing materials worth thousands of naira to selected primary schools across the four wards of Mbula Chiefdom.

    The educational materials were presented to the head teachers of the benefiting schools to enhance teaching and learning.
    In addition, over 200 vulnerable families received food items, including grains, spaghetti and cooking condiments, to cushion the effects of the prevailing economic hardship.

    Representing Chief Peter Leonard Ndwacho Fwa at the event, Zare Baba commended Pathfinder Humanity Forum for complementing efforts to improve the well-being of the people.

    He pledged the senatorial candidate’s continued support for initiatives that promote quality education, healthcare and humanitarian assistance across Adamawa Southern Senatorial District.

    Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful, while praying for greater opportunities for the organisers and their supporters to continue serving humanity.
